What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an Assistant to support an Agent in our Theater Literary Department. The position requires a communicative and thoughtful individual who can take initiative while learning on the job in an empowering environment.

The candidate will need a strong work ethic and interest in artists across multiple mediums and platforms.

The ability to multi-task is essential as the position requires managing calendars, call logs and submissions, as well as tracking client schedules, potential opportunities and the overall execution of deals.

The ideal person will have a genuine passion for writers and the desire to engage meaningfully with the wider artistic community.

Skills And Qualifications

The Assistant will support the Agent in a variety of administrative functions including:
- Generating and keeping track of appointments, script submissions, booking reports, travel booking/coordinating, contract negotiations
- Detail and systems oriented.
- Handling phones, managing agent and client calendars
- Tracking payments and expenses
- Submitting and keeping track of clients for theater, TV and film projects
- Dealing with literary managers, artistic directors, studio/network executives, producers and managers while understanding the importance of confidentiality and professionalism
- Resourceful, proactive, reliable, socially aware, open-minded and opinionated
- Proficient with word, excel, and outlook
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- The art of follow-up and following through
-An interest in career advancement within the agency landscape. Tasks and responsibilities can grow with your interests and time on the job.

Education And Experience
- 1-2 years of professional experience working/interning in the entertainment industry is required
- A working knowledge of theaters, playwrights, directors, designers is required
-An interest in film and television is a plus
- Experience reading and covering scripts is a plus
