About Amazon Music

The Global Brand & Integrated Marketing team within Amazon Music is looking for a driven and dynamic Social Media Manager with a passion for music, podcasts, and audio entertainment. The Social Media Manager will lead planning, development, execution, and optimization for TikTok, focused on US, UK, CA and Australia and New Zealand. You will own social channel content and publishing decisions for the platforms that you oversee, driving both long-term strategy, content and publishing, and day-to-day decisions and community building and management. You will work with internal teams including Music Industry, Podcast, Creative, PR, and Brand Marketing across multiple markets. You will also work with external creative agencies, influencers, content creators, and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube to drive creative, strategy and best practices.

To be successful in this role, this individual needs to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, know how to juggle multiple priorities, and navigate and partner with a large set of internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong instincts to connect our brand's purpose and voice with our audience's passion for music, podcasts, and culture. The candidate will do this through a deep understanding of social media culture and trends, including knowledge of social platform and community behavior to create compelling, authentic and innovative social-first content and programs. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think creatively and deliver results. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of ownership and communicate clearly and persuasively.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead planning, ideation, development, and execution for TikTok, focused on key markets (US, UK, CA, ANZ) to drive follower growth and engagement as well as conversation for Amazon Music.
• Work closely and collaboratively across international and domestic Brand Marketing, PR, Creative, Music Industry, and Podcast teams to champion social-first ideas and execute activations, events and strategies.
• Efficiently create highly topical trending content to increase Amazon Music's brand relevance, foster global social conversation, and build vibrant communities.
• Collaborate with social platforms to identify new opportunities and develop innovative activations ahead of competitors.
• Develop performance metrics specific for Amazon Music TikTok handles; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making continuous improvements.
• Continuously ideate and innovate to find new and exciting ways to engage audiences to drive awareness, conversation and affinity for Amazon Music brand and its exclusive content and product innovations.
• Continuously ideate and innovate within the social space.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
• 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
• Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

• Excellent Creative Writing Skills: The TiKTok account is developing a strong and differentiated tone of voice. We are more than just a landing place for AM's music content, we want someone who can use assets and comments to build an impactful, consistent online persona and an engaged community by identifying unique community management opportunities, and editing writer-submitted copy & assets to match our overall tone.
• Deep Passion and Knowledge of TikTok Communities: You are well-versed in the many subgroups that make up the TikTok community - from cultural references to slang - and are tapped in to the conversations these different groups are having on social. You are strategic in who, when, and what you respond to. You love building online community and being a part of it!
• Passion for Music & Entertainment: You have a background or passion for the entertainment industry, especially Music and Podcasts.
• Ability to be Nimble: You are capable of multi-tasking and handling complex projects at once amidst rapidly-changing priorities and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
• Attention to Detail: You are highly organized and detail oriented. You think strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution.
• Expertise in paid amplification: You have experience in paid media and boosting best practices.
• Collaborative and Growth Mindset: You have experience working across multi-faceted internal and external teams including experience working with influencers and/or social content creators (e.g., YouTube, TikTok).
