We are looking for a seasoned quality assurance specialist, who is an expert in their field of manual testing, with a deep passion for games and quality. In this role, you will collaborate both with development teams and external QA, and contribute to the gameplay debug & polish effort across all Amazon games.
Key job responsibilities
- Contribute to overall test strategy, analyze game scope and features, drive and deliver test plans creation with value based test cases on assigned areas
- Partner with game teams, developers and project QA, and sync on design intent and quality expectations for owned features and assigned areas
- Ensure complete testing coverage, reporting all quality defects on assigned game areas with high accuracy and efficiency
- Contribute to qualitative analysis on game state based on tests results and defects identified over time
- Contribute to internal status reports, highlight defect patterns and provide test priorities or test case recommendations to QA partners
- Coordinate and mentor QA partners on efficient debugging and test coverage, defect impact analysis and root cause analysis for found defects
- Offer qualitative feedback & recommendations that can improve the game quality, from a player perspective

At Amazon Games, our ambition is to create bold new experiences that foster community in and around our games. Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs, including New World: Aeternum and an upcoming title based on The Lord of the Rings, with our studios and teams in Seattle, Orange County, San Diego, Montreal, and Bucharest. Amazon Games also publishes best-in-class games in close collaboration with developers, leading with Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY from NCSOFT, and King of Meat from Glowmade, as well as the next major entry in the Tomb Raider series from Crystal Dynamics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in QA, in the Games industry, with evidenced Triple A HD titles testing.
- Experience testing across a variety of platforms (PC and consoles)
- Knowledge of QA test practices for the full development life cycle, including test plans & test cases creation, defect reporting standards, defect life cycle and defect analysis against client and market expectations
- Excellent English written and verbal skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in communicating with development teams across all job functions to collect feature design intentions and quality expectations and translate that into test strategy and test plans
- Experience in partnering with external QA teams on test strategy expectations and game coverage recommendations
