As a 3D Modeler, you create objects and environments that players will connect and interact with. Using your artistic and technical skills, you ensure elements are both visually appealing and functionally effective, balancing aesthetics with the technical requirements of the game. Working closely with the creative teams, you incorporate feedback to continually refine your work and deliver an immersive and rewarding experience for our community.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the artistic and narrative teams to understand and translate their creative vision into detailed 3D models
- Study concept art and narrative team guidelines, carry out your own references research, and create prototypes of objects, environments, etc.
- 3D Modeling, texturing and prepare UVs of your creations using appropriate 3D techniques and pipelines
- Create prototypes quickly to guide and promote rapid iterations
- Find a balance between artistic aspects and technical constraints to ensure careful aesthetics and optimal in-game performances
- Collaborate with the technical team and artists to integrate your models into the game engine and refine them based on feedback
- Stay up to date on the latest 3D modeling tools, techniques and workflows.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Montreal, QC, CAN

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in creating 3D assets for video games
- Portfolio with examples of 3D elements created from start to finish demonstrating a variety of artistic styles
- Degree in art, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English; due to the nature of the role which requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada, bilingual French and English is required for this position.

- Experience with the Unreal Engine
