Production Associate, The View (Big Events & Long-Term Series)

Are you a creative powerhouse with experience in orchestrating unforgettable events in the studio and field? Can you pitch ideas including celebratory events and themed shows that leave audiences wanting more? If so, we want to meet you! The View is seeking Production Associate to collaborate with our Human Interest, Big Events & Long-Term Series Team.

What You Will Do:
• Research and pitch compelling human-interest stories.
• Pitch fresh and creative concepts for holiday features, special celebratory events, and hour-long themed shows.
• Demonstrate strong booking skills, with a keen eye for unique human-interest narratives that haven't received mainstream coverage.
• Contact and secure bookings with guests, ensuring a diverse and engaging lineup.
• Assist in the production of guests, both in-studio and on-location
• Generate innovative ideas for large-scale events, both within the studio environment and beyond.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum of two years' experience in television news, politics, entertainment, or talk show production.
• Proficiency in research and writing, with the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to make editorial judgments and contribute to the success of a live program.
• Extensive experience using various research and information resources, including social media, newspapers, and periodicals.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Proven ability to take initiative while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $53,600- $73,700 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
