Job Description

We're looking for someone who has been a Producer, Anchor, or Reporter to join our 24/7 local news streaming team as we find innovative ways to bring live, breaking, local news to our communities and viewers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are looking for someone who has some experience as a digital producer or a broadcast producer who would like to make the transition to streaming.

We want someone who is passionate about news, always in the know , and is creative when it comes to producing for streaming in unique, less scripted, unconventional ways. If you have a desire to be on camera or past experience on camera, that is a plus but not a must. Innovative, fearless journalists--- this is a chance to get your foot in the door at one of the top stations in the country and make a real difference in the future of live, local news on streaming!

Responsibilities :
Our ideal candidate can produce high-impact stories utilizing data and other research tools and is willing to experiment with new technology. A strong understanding of how a story fits on our website, in a newscast, on our streaming apps, and in a long-form streaming product will bump you to the top of the list.

You must have a desire to serve the community, a knack for quickly cultivating contacts and booking timely, relevant newsmakers to appear for long-form interviews on all our platforms. Must be a team player with an exceptional work ethic, the ability to work under deadline, multi-task, prioritize assignments, and have the flexibility to work any shift required.

You must know to pivot quickly when breaking news disrupts the day. You must be well-organized and able to recognize the need for a newsmaker guest that fits the news of the day, even if it interrupts pre-planned interviews. We want a respected, knowledgeable, ethical station representative and team player with a strong presence on social media.
• Booking, producing, and switching a live program in a digital environment
• Writing scripts and editing video
• Appear on camera from time to time

Basic Qualifications :
• Minimum 3 years of producing or reporting experience in a medium-sized market
• Proficient with AP style
• Must be flexible with working hours (late nights, overnights. Weekends and holidays) and adaptable to change.

Required Education :
• College degree or equivalent
