About the Role & Program
ESPN Synergy Strategy & Solutions serves as a bridge between the world of sports and Disney's iconic storytelling, driving strategic cross-platform collaborations that enhance audience expansion and engagement across the company's vast portfolio. As an intern on this team, you will have the opportunity to join meetings with both internal ESPN teams and all synergy partners across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) including ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Entertainment Television, Disney+, Hulu, Freeform, Disney Experiences, Lucas Film, Marvel, National Geographic Partners, FX Networks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and more to learn and take notes on upcoming priorities across the company and how Synergy is leaning in to support.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of sports & entertainment and be an out of the box thinker with a passion for developing creative marketing ideas and concepts. The program dates for this role are September 22nd through December 12, 2025.
What You Will Do
• Track and monitor the status and outcomes of all internal and external synergy initiatives through clipping on-air, social and digital support across ESPN or our partners' platforms and include these integrations in overall executive support summaries
• Maintain schedule of cross-company events and priorities for planning purposes
• Contribute to and support the execution of cross-promotional opportunities across The Walt Disney Company and ESPN divisions to drive awareness, tune-in, and subscriptions for key ESPN TWDC initiatives
• Manage one-off/special projects as assigned
• Share creative ideas for growth, efficiency and collaboration with team
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and Google sheets, slides, and docs
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and interpersonal, expressing ideas, thoughts, and facts in a clear, convincing and organized way
• Highly organized and able to work independently on projects, with high attention to detail
• Self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving skills, demonstrating good judgment, quick thinking and resourcefulness
• Ability to efficiently handle a large quantity of projects and tasks simultaneously under deadlines
• Digital maven, particularly skilled at understanding the nuances between social media platforms and how to effectively leverage each
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
• Familiarity with Disney-owned entities, including but not limited to its media networks, film studios, streaming platforms, and affiliated brands
• Candidate should have a healthy appreciation of popular culture and the role of sports in pop culture and mainstream news
Education
• Junior or Senior year preferred
• Major or previous coursework in Marketing, Communications, Sports Media or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• Fully available from September 22nd through December 12, 2025 for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week. There may be some flexibility due to the intern's acedemic schedule
• Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area. Potential hybrid or remote opportunity may be considered
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as
