Job Description
We Are…Cre ative storytellers who tell a story through short and long form features, content packages, digital experience s, animation, highlights, ad sales and sound . Together this group unites to provide the necessary elements to create a compelling story from conception to delivery.
A Day in the Life:
The Edit Intern will use their technical editing background and experience to learn about editing sports content , r elevant to ESPN-produced studio & event productions .
• The Edit Intern possesses a sound ability for non-linear video editing in a fast-paced Sports Broadcast atmosphere
• This individual is expected to be a team player who collaborates amongst various teams while learning the expectations of e ditors within Creative Studio Edit.
• Proficient operating skills and ability to perform well under pressure, high demand, strict timelines and /or live conditions with supervision . Solid abilities in the use of all broadcast equipment and technology within assigned operating areas
What You Bring to the Role:
• Ability to edit on a Non-Linear System –Adobe Suite (A fter E ffects /Premiere )
• Strong interp ersonal skills, including verbal and email communication
• Ability to w ork in a fast-paced atmosphere that requires quick turnaround edits.
• Proficiency in Windows-based PC applications ; heavy use of Microsoft Teams and applicable Microsoft suite (Word/Excel)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Campus or previous internship experience relating to Post Production Editing
• Ability to learn, collaborate and work effectively with multiple partners including Editors, Produc ers, and Production Assistance
• Basic understanding of s ports across all leagues
Required Education:
• Enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student in an accredited college/university in the semester prior to the internship
or graduated within the past 6 months
Preferred Education:
• Communications, Post Production, Journalism, or related
Operations majors
Internship Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR graduated within the past 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Program Dates: The approximate dates are September 12 th – December 16 th . Interns will work 40 hours per week and must be fully available throughout the internship.
Work Environment: This is an in person / hybrid inter nship. The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace along with on-campus shifts.
