Software Engineer Summer Intern - Madden

EA SPORTS Madden NFL is the best-selling sports property in US Video game history. Madden NFL is an immersive, simulation-based, authentic NFL interactive experience, empowering fans to play out their NFL fantasy of winning the Super Bowl (and much more). Madden NFL has entertained fans over three decades with more than 130 million lifetime units sold.

Madden NFL is developed at EA's Tiburon Studio in Orlando, FL, and Madrid, Spain by a team that prides itself on innovation and creative collaboration. We are looking for talent with a passion for sports to create experiences that connect with millions of football fans around the world to grow the love of the sport.

As a Software Engineer Intern on the Madden Team, you will participate in feature development, bug fixing, maintenance of existing code, and implementing creative solutions for our teams' daily challenges.

This is a 3-month paid internship position.

Your Responsibilities:
• Analyze existing code bases and diagnose complex issues
• Perform bug fixes in existing features and the addition of new features
• Provide tested and high-quality technical implementations that meet design requirements
• Search for ways to increase team efficiency through tooling or workflow enhancements
• Collaborate with design team(s) to provide feedback and help create clear technical designs

Your Requirements:
• You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program and are slated to graduate in December 2023 to July 2024
• You are proficient in any of the following programing languages: C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript
• You have some knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation
• You have experience working with IDEs and using Source/Version Control (Visual Studio, Perforce, Git)
• You can test and debug the code of others competently
• You are passionate about building games and your development craft
• You know how to communicate your vision and ask clarifying questions of others
• You are eager to be collaborative with teams in building our creative and design elements
• You are and motivated about overcoming challenges and solving problems
• Experience with performance and memory profiling tools
