Job Description

KMOX NewsRadio 1120 is looking for a talented, professional broadcast anchor/reporter with a positive attitude to anchor the evening newscasts live. You will be required to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet and social media along with other duties assigned by the news manager. The ability to work under deadline and on a flexible schedule is required.

We are looking for someone who has a clear understanding of how to dig, pitch, and use strong storytelling to make your report impactful.

Duties included, but are not limited to:
• Selects and research topics; contacts and interviews sources; maintains notes and audio recordings; writes and edits reports; produces and voice reports for air.
• Reports stories in appropriate forms for different formats including digital
• May be asked to anchor newscasts or host programs
• Read news copy on the air live and interact with on-air program hosts.
• Anchor newscasts and function as a field producer for all stories assigned.
• Participate in community events and station activities outside the newsroom

Qualifications:

Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in journalism or radio production.
• Experience in news anchoring and reporting for a broadcast or online news operation preferred.​
• A valid drivers license, insurance and a satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check is required.
