Responsibilities

As a Researcher for TODAY Digital, you will work directly with producers to help pitch and research news, human interest and lifestyle content for all TODAY digital platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the production of the TODAY All Day stream in addition to individual pieces.

Essential Responsibilities
• Gather master clips of archival and recently aired TODAY content for streaming editors
• Write topic bars for streaming content
• Work with producers and associate producers to research lifestyle, news and human-interest videos that are on brand for TODAY
• Pull together elements for producers and editors.
• Pitch videos to various partners and outlets to increase video starts.
• Assist on studio and field shoot in any capacity needed
• Ability to shoot and edit stories and function under deadline
• Gather master clips of archival and recently aired TODAY content for editors
• Write topic bars for streaming content
Identify stories and assist in early phases of production

Qualifications/Requirements
• Strong understanding of TODAY brand.
• 2+ years of experience working in video production,

ideally in a news environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight

deadlines.
• Must have a Bachelor's degree
• Must be willing to travel and work overtime, weekends

and holidays when needed.
• Basic editing skills Premiere a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in news and

current events
• Basic Shooting skills a plus
