Job Summary/Description:
WWNY-TV, the north country's legacy news station, seeks a producer to join the 7 News morning team. Our commitment to our viewers: get the latest news on the air as our viewers start their day, while also producing a fun and informative morning broadcast Monday - Friday. Qualified candidates have a passion for news, writing, and video editing. On-the-job training is available.
Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Construct WWNY's morning news, Mon-Fri.
• The show consists of: a 5:30 a.m. half hour (CBS), 6 a.m. hour (CBS), and 7 a.m. hour (FOX) (mirroring the 6).
• Write headline news, spot news, as needed.
• Edit corresponding video.
• Work with the morning anchors to book live interviews, plan special coverage
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 4-year college degree in Journalism preferred
• Strong writing skills
• Strong interest in news and current events
• Knowledge of ENPS, Edius preferred
