Job Description
Sports Director - WVVA
Our next sports director is a true journalist with a passion for great storytelling and leadership. This position requires you to lead, anchor, shoot, write, edit, produce, and plan coverage with impact for our viewers. As the home of the best high school coverage in the market you will aggressively use social media to engage and respond to our community and embrace the multi-platform approach of today's newsroom.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• A degree in journalism or communications is preferred.
• This is not an entry-level position.
• Experience as a Sports Director or Sports MMJ in a television newsroom preferred.
• Anchor sports Monday through Friday.
• Exceptional on camera presence and delivery.
• Talented writer.
• Proven leader and mentor.
