Job Summary/Description:

The OTT/Digital Content Producer/Reporter will work closely with the digital news supervisor to create exclusive content for our over-the-top streaming apps and other digital platforms. The producer/reporter will schedule and conduct interviews, gather content, edit video, create livestreams and produce digital content using the Digital Desk and content management system.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain a programming schedule for our OTT streaming apps.
- Schedule and conduct interviews at the Digital Desk.
- Gather and write content for Digital Desk livestreams and interviews, as well present the content on livestreams.
- Respond quickly and aggressively to breaking news and getting a stream live.
- Communicate evolving information one a livestream during breaking news.
- Edit video for multiple platforms.
- Operate the Digital Desk switcher and audio board when necessary.
- Create livestreams for, clip and publish Digital Desk events through our CMS.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of various media platforms, including broadcast, web and mobile.
- Demonstrated ability of good news judgment and journalistic integrity.
- Experience with a digital content management system.
- Experience with non-linear video editing.
- An innovative team player with an ability to handle a variety of tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-drive and sometimes stressful environment.
- Ability to write, edit, produce, gather content, and be an on-air presence under heavy deadline pressure without compromising accuracy or credibility.
- Ability to interpret information to establish facts and determine truth.
- Ability to develop content through social media, national feeds, affiliates and independent sources.
- Ability to interact with all levels of station and corporate management.
- Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts.
- Must be willing to work in New Orleans, Louisiana.
