Job Description

WUTV/WNYO in Buffalo, New York has an excellent opportunity for an experienced News Photographer.
Our photographers are journalists! They see beyond the lens to find the real stories.
Our photographers are not afraid to ask the tough questions, get into the action, and capture the pictures and sounds that really tell the story. We don't follow the pack of journalists. We are looking for a person who understands the need to be distinctive, disruptive, impactful, and innovative with our production. We want someone with an investigative mind who finds original, impactful stories. Someone who will hold the powerful accountable, ask tough questions and question the answers, follow how tax dollars are being spent, and keep an eye on government to make sure it is doing its job. We need someone with the discipline to make this happen on all screens every day!

Requirements and Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of photography and editing experience
• At least 2 years of ENG experience
• At least 2 years of experience using cellular transmission equipment (i.e. Live View)
• Must be a team-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines
• Must have valid driver's license, good driving record, and be able to operate ENG news vehicles
• Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
• Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
