Job Summary/Description:
Join the largest, most experienced team of meteorologists serving Southeast Alabama, Southwest Georgia and part of the Florida Panhandle. WTVY has an immediate opening for a dynamic meteorologist to join the market's #1 weather team. Use state-of-the-art technology to forecast challenging weather patterns, from severe weather outbreaks to tropical storms and hurricanes, and even high-impact winter events.
This position will be primarily responsible for providing weather forecasts during weekend evening newscasts. During the week, responsibilities may include digital producing or reporting, in addition to serving as a fill-in meteorologist for broadcast and digital platforms.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology is required. Previous broadcast experience is a plus, but this is an excellent opportunity to learn from our top team of meteorologists covering a variety of weather. Weather is of the utmost important to our station and the community, so we need a dedicated professional excited to cover the weather 24/7.
