WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, OH is looking for a creative full-time News Photographer & Videographer! We are seeking a dedicated and creative visual journalist who can tell compelling stories as an individual and as part of a team. The candidate should have 1 year or more of newsgathering experience with a network affiliate news organization. Your assignments will include shooting and editing day to day spot news, breaking news, and prescheduled shoots with the opportunity to work on in-depth features, investigative stories, and college and professional sports. We are shooting full high definition (HD) on media cards and editing on Avid desktops and laptops. You should have strong editing skills in non-linear editing systems such as Avid, Edius, Final Cut or Premiere. The ideal candidate possesses excellent people skills, a strong work ethic and willingness to learn, and a great attitude. A passion for story telling is absolutely essential in this position. Requirements and Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
• Team-player who can think critically to produce good stories and make quick decisions under tight deadlines
• Must have valid driver's license, good driving record.
• Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, lives shots and natural sound packages
• Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
• This is not a DSLR still photojournalist position
