WRDW-TV/WAGT-TV is home to the CBS and NBC affiliates in the beautiful southern city of Augusta, GA. The station operates out of a state-of-the-art facility that launched in February 2021. Job Summary/Description:

WRDW/WAGT is looking for an experienced TV news journalist to join our team as an anchor/MMJ. This position requires anchoring daily as well as daily MMJ reporting. This is not a position for feature reporters or anchors who are reluctant to report in the community.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Pitching and researching enterprised lead/hard news stories
- Proven reporting, anchoring, videography and editing abilities
- Must excel at broadcast and online writing
- Experience as a strong communicator on the anchor desk
- Responsible for staying up to date on local events, news, issues
- Skill at cultivating local community contacts
- Possess knowledge and willingness to provide voice and insight into editorial process

Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience in a TV newsroom as an anchor and/or MMJ
- Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field
- Proven track record of skilled reporting, anchoring, writing, videography, and editing
- Enjoy a fast paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
