Director Of Digital Media, WPTV

WPTV, the E.W. Scripps NBC Station serving the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast, is seeking a dynamic leader as our next Director of Digital Media.

We have the strongest organization in the market, with an aggressive, experienced team focused on growing our brand and revenue across key digital platforms. The successful candidate will lead a strategic evolution of our technology, digital content, and monetization efforts. Collaborating with news, sales, marketing, and engineering leaders, you'll create plans that have an immediate impact on audience reach, engagement, and revenue.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Partner with Director of Sales to execute and achieve digital revenue and profitability goals by month, quarter, and year.
• Collaborate with News Director to create and manage internal systems and processes to keep all digital platforms current 24/7.
• Analyze key performance initiatives (KPIs) and other data metrics to proactively identify opportunities and trends that impact editorial and strategic decisions.
• Work directly with local sales management to conceptualize, execute & achieve revenue targets, maximizing alternate & passive revenue streams.
• Provide expertise in teaching and influencing sales teams in their content creation and digital sponsorship effort.
• Work with creative services director to understand and align digital content strategy with brand strategy and platform marketing plans.
• Develop & lead a team to execute local digital content tactics in alignment with station content strategy to achieve business goals and accountability to results.
• Identify, innovate & implement process improvements and workflow efficiencies to optimize productivity and return on investment.
• Work closely with corporate emerging products team on implementation, support and training for current and new products and platforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• Generally 10+ years of experience in related field preferred.
• Prior managerial experience preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Understanding of digital media, journalism, broadcast and media sales
• Proven ability in effectively collaborating with cross-functional departments
• Success record as a strategic leader who identifies needs proactively, builds teams to pursue change and demonstrates results that add value
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to influence, and demonstrates confidence to provide recommendations to stakeholders
• Able to manage and prioritize competing priorities, in alignment with business needs
• Strong understanding of online content management systems (CMSs), HTML, and web design/development applications such as JavaScript, Adobe Photoshop, and FTP is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of social media and SEO concepts, and a rich understanding of all things digital
