WPTA has been recognized with several national Edward R. Murrow Awards, Emmy Awards and statewide news honors for its market-leading broadcast journalism. We produce 47 hours of news on our two network-affiliated channels (ABC and NBC), along with numerous special programs on subjects ranging from climate change to the local arts scene.
Job Summary/Description:
Multimedia journalists (MMJs) at WPTA are on the front lines of news-gathering. Applicants should be versed in all aspects of broadcast reporting, demonstrating technical and editorial skills, creative storytelling techniques and an ability to work well on deadline and with others.
Develop sources and story ideas; Shoot, write and edit daily news reports; Deliver live shots from the field; Produce material for social and digital platforms.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• College degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field; hands-on experience (including internships) involving shooting, editing and delivering television news reports.
