Our team produces 41 hours of news each week across our ABC and NBC channels and is committed to local, in-depth special programming that airs in addition to traditional newscasts. Job Summary/Description:
WPTA is looking for a dynamic and informative Meteorologist to join our growing First Alert Weather Team. WPTA is dedicated to providing the first notification when weather impacts our community. We're expanding our First Alert Weather Team to include an additional meteorologist. The previous person in this role covered record breaking snowfall, impactful derechos and widespread flooding.
The right person will have a commanding on-air presence, be innovative with social media communication and will grow and learn from our team of meteorologists with decades of experience. The right candidate will anchor our successful weekend morning newscasts, and join a team of dedicated journalists to report during the week.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Four Year College Degree in Journalism or Related Field
- Previous producing experience a major plus
