Manager, Sales and Marketing

Job Description

WPMI/WJTC – Mobile, AL is seeking a Market Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing multiple aspects of sales operations. This includes revenue/expense budgeting, sales strategy, forecasting, achieve/exceed revenue goals, special project development and sales team training/development. Broadcast and digital sales management experience is required along with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and superior communication skills.

In this position you will:
• Achieve/exceed budgeted financial goals and grow the station's revenue share
• Train, manage, and motivate all sales personnel
• Manage sales for the station including local, national, new business television and digital interactive revenue stream
• Train sales team to sell products and services via Digital Solutions and mobile marketing
• Lead sales promotions and develop non-traditional revenue sources
• Manage and control sales revenue by developing strong relationships with local clients
• Gather new media technology and content information and research to provide the station with the most competitive advantage
• Work with the promotions department to create sales opportunities
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
• Five years' experience in TV sales management to include digital management experience
• Hands on TV advertising sales and operational background required
• Ability to grow revenue through digital interactive and other approaches
• Working knowledge of new media, digital interactive initiatives, social media and content
• Hands on experience developing new business as a skilled negotiator and motivator, a proven track record of digital success
• Strong and positive leadership skills
• Effective relationship building, customer service, communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OSI preferred
