Job Description
WPIX 11 is looking for a Planning Editor who will be forward thinking in planning for next day's local coverage, as well as long term planning of significant news events. The position is based out of New York, NY.

Responsibilities include:
-Planning calendar for future stories
-Working with newsroom leadership on special coverage planned for the future
-Daily interaction with newsroom leadership
-Effectively using tools and technology to widely share information

Candidate must have a 4-year college degree in broadcasting, journalism or communications, or work experience in a similar role at a network or large market.

Three years of previous newsroom experience is a must. The applicant must be detail-oriented, organized, and can multitask. Strong communication and leadership skills are a must.
