About WOIO:

WOIO-WUAB are the CBS and CW Affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio. We produce 56.5 hour of news per week and deliver content in both English and Spanish on a 24/7 basis on our digital platforms.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Anchor live newscasts as assigned and assist in the production and writing of the broadcasts according to station's First, Fair, Everywhere brand, format and direction. Ideal candidate will be community oriented, engaged in social media and supportive of our daily digital media goals. Must be willing and able to anchor unscripted reports on OTT and/or a 9am newscast on TV. Must be enthusiastic about field anchoring and Breaking News reporting. Must be able to research, produce and report promotable stories with minimal supervision. Must generate viable and original story ideas on a daily basis. Must have proven track record of supporting team members, being receptive to feedback and remaining calm in the face of challenge and change. Ability to work collaboratively with team members in the pursuit of excellence. Other duties as assigned by news management, including writing and editing media for all platforms.

Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years experience as a broadcast news anchor and reporter at a commercial TV station. Knowledge of the Cleveland area preferred. Must demonstrate strong presentation skills on all platforms, strong writing and the ability to create hard hitting content with an edgy style. Must be able to work collaboratively under pressure.
