About WOIO:

WOIO-WUAB are the CBS and CW Affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio. We produce 66.5 hours of news per week and deliver content in both English and Spanish on a 24/7 basis on our digital platform.

Job Summary/Description:

WOIO 19 News is seeking an MMJ/Reporter. Our candidate will report on a variety of issues, including breaking news, enterprise and investigative topics. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver edgy, in-depth and highly promotable stories on a daily basis. Must be capable of tackling complex content under intense deadline pressure. Must be highly skillful in the research, writing, shooting, editing and posting of content to all platforms. Must be comfortable working solo or in partnership with others in the field.

Must understand all libel and defamation laws in the context of delivering hard-hitting content in a responsible manner. Must embrace live reporting.

Must be a good, creative writer, have an inquisitive mind, very strong journalist, a great communicator, a positive leader inside and outside the newsroom and must be a creative storyteller. Must learn and understand the difference between television writing and writing for the web. Must also contribute daily to all social media platforms to help recruit viewers to television newscasts.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Applicant should have a minimum of 3-years experience
- Experience with newsroom computer systems preferred, as well as Edius, ENPS.
- Bilingual journalism skills also preferred.
- MVR required.
