About WOIO/WUAB:

WOIO-19 and WUAB-TV are the CBS and CW Affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as WTCL, the only Telemundo station in the Cleveland DMA. We produce 66.5 hours of live, local news, weather and sports every week and deliver content on a 24/7 basis on our digital platforms on WOIO and 5+ hours of news on WTCL. We carry Browns Football, the NFL, NCAA March Madness, PGA. We are proud to be one of the highest-rated CW affiliates in the country with WUAB! We are the only station in the market serving the Hispanic Community with Telemundo Cleveland.

Job Summary/Description:

WOIO 19 News is looking for an Investigative Reporter. As investigative reporter you must be an organized researcher who can work on multiple projects dealing with wrong doing that has a significant impact on citizens of Kansas. Investigations must not be deadline driven and must be researched and fact checked before airing. Reporter must make a decision not to publish when the evidence doesn't warrant a story.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Candidate will report on a variety of issues, including breaking news, enterprise and investigative topics. The successful • candidate will be expected to deliver edgy, in-depth and highly promotable stories on a daily basis.
• Must be capable of tackling complex content under intense deadline pressure.
• Must be highly skilled in the research, writing, editing and posting of content to all platforms.
• Must understand all libel and defamation laws in the context of delivering hard-hitting content in a responsible manner.
• Must embrace live reporting.
• Must be a good, creative writer, have an inquisitive mind, very strong journalist, great communicator and a positive leader inside and outside the newsroom and must be a creative story-teller.
• Other duties as assigned by News Management.

Qualification/Requirements:
• Minimum three (3) years experience, investigative preferred.
• Experience with newsroom computer systems preferred, as well as ENPS.
• Must be able to work with a diverse group of people.
