About WOIO:

WOIO-WUAB are the CBS and CW Affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio. We produce 66.5 hours of news per week and deliver content in both English and Spanish on a 24/7 basis on our digital platform.

Job Summary/Description:

WOIO 19 News is seeking a full-time Investigative MMJ/Reporter.

Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Candidate will report on a variety of issues, including breaking news, enterprise and investigative topics. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver edgy, in-depth and highly promotable stories on a daily basis.
- Must be capable of tackling complex content under intense deadline pressure.
- Must be highly skilled in the research, writing, shooting, editing and posting of content to all platforms.
- Must be comfortable working solo or in partnership with others in the field.
- Must understand all libel and defamation laws in the context of delivering hard-hitting content in a responsible manner.
- Must embrace live reporting.
- Must be a good, creative writer, have an inquisitive mind, very strong journalist, great communicator and a positive leader inside and outside the newsroom and must be a creative story-teller.
- Other duties as assigned by News Management.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) years experience, investigative preferred.
- Experience with newsroom computer systems preferred, as well as Edius, ENPS.
- Must be able to work with a diverse group of people.
