Our team produces 46.5 hours of local programming on broadcast and more than 100 hours on OTT including nearly 60 NCAA Division I men's and women's sporting events for ESPN Plus.
Job Summary/Description:
WMC in Memphis, TN, is currently accepting resumes for a digital content producer to manage and create content for our website, mobile and social media platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Excellent news judgment on what makes engaging digital content
* Excellent writing skills and able to write clean copy in AP style
* Can edit the work of others and clean up scripts
* Basic reporting skills
* Understanding of Social Media
* Basic computer skills
* Willingness to adapt and change as technology and procedures arise
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Must be a strong writer and copy editor with excellent editorial judgment, time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize quickly
* Must have basic working knowledge of content management systems. Experience with writing in digital and AP style is preferred
* Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as ability to quickly learn software applications used in the newsroom
* Knowledge of entry level video editing software a plus
* Knowledge of Adobe products a plus
