Job Description
WLWT, the Hearst Television owned NBC affiliate in Cincinnati, OH has a rare opening for an Assistant Chief Videographer who wants to work with our Chief Videographer and talented team of photojournalists. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills and be able to innovate and train videographers on new techniques. The Assistant Chief Videographer is a key management position, who will be instrumental in recruiting, training and retaining the best videographers in the market. Our videographers work with the most talented team of anchors and reporters in the field and embrace the collaboration necessary to tell memorable stories daily.

Resonsibilities:
• Reports directly to Chief Videographer.

• Must have working and operational knowledge of all Live News vehicles, including microwave, TVU and satellite trucks.

• Must have working and operational knowledge of all ENG news gathering equipment including cameras, microphones, tripods, lighting and TVU's.

• Manage and maintain all station owned drones.

• A valid FAA Part 107 drone license preferred.

• Maintain a working relationship with Engineering Department supervisors to facilitate equipment repairs and innovations.

• Scout and incorporate technical expertise into live remote productions.

• Must be an accomplished show editor.

• Must have the ability to train, inspire and motivate the staff.

• Have a working knowledge of the IBEW union contract.

• Responsible for the management and maintenance of all News Department Vehicles.

Qualifications:
• Experience in shooting and camera operation, can seamlessly execute active live shots.

• Proficiency in nonlinear editing systems, including Adobe Premier Pro, Avid and Final Cut Pro.

• Can easily carry up to 50 pounds of equipment.

• Efficient operation on TVU and microwave technology.

• Knowledge of satellite truck operations.

• Can work in all weather conditions.

• Can operate large vehicles, have a valid driver's license and a near-perfect driving record.

Education:
• Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience.
