Job Description

WLUK, Green Bay has an immediate opening for a Digital News Producer. Our Digital Producers are a creative crew. They are dedicated to serving the information needs of our digital audience. The Digital Producer is part of a collaborative newsroom - you're not on an island - you're part of a team dedicated to the latest in creative online and social content. In this position you will write news content, oversee ongoing stories, combine images and video on multiple platforms. The over-riding purpose is generate news content in real time.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Solid news judgment with a desire to share the latest information with our audience
• Be a compelling and accurate writer
• Be able to work independently - as a self-starter
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to execute news strategies and goals
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must

Experience:
• Previous online writing experience is a plus
• Previous experience writing news copy is preferred
• Previous experience writing for a digital platform is preferred
• Please include links to writing examples
• A Journalism degree is preferred
