Our large small-market newsroom is looking for another leader to join the team. We have an immediate opening for a main evening anchor. This person is a leader on-air and in our vibrant community. You will work with other TV veterans and help coach young journalists. This person will produce and anchor our 11:00 p.m. newscast. There will also be opportunities for LIVE shots and special assignments.

You're part of a 30-member news team, using ENPS, Edius and VizRT Graphics. The right person is creative, a great writer for on-air and online and a strong storyteller. Community involvement is a key part of this high-profile position. WLUC has a reputation for longevity, and we are looking to continue that with our newest team members. Job Summary/Description:

In Michigan's Upper Peninsula, our large small-market newsroom is looking for another leader to join the team. We have an immediate opening for a main evening anchor. This person is a leader on-air and in our vibrant community. You will work with other TV veterans and help coach young journalists. We have very strong viewership. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Writing for on-air and on-line
- Mentoring young field reporters, checking/approving stories/scipts
- Knowledge of videography and video editing
- Must meet deadlines and be able to multi-task
- Great attitude and enjoy working with others
- Strong work ethic
- Enjoy talking with people
- Professional appearance
- Strong on-air delivery and speaking voice

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Driver's Background Check
- Ability to handle Social Media, including Website writing, Facebook, Twitter and more
