Job Summary/Description:

The Local Sales Manager at WLOX is responsible for overseeing Local revenue for the station while leading a team of sellers and support staff in a positive and collaborative way. We have a top-notch sales team driven to succeed. We have the tools and resources to help ensure that success. Must multitask and manage multiple projects with solid communication skills and be geared for success.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Guide and oversee the Local Sales Teams' selling efforts to achieve revenue goals with both Agency and Direct clients across all available platforms.
• Maintain effective internal systems and processes to ensure proper development of new and existing accounts and to help keep account executives stay on track to achieve their Local Revenue goals.
• Develop and maintain excellent Local Advertiser and Agency relationships, making sales calls with Account Executives.
• Possess emphatic levels of customer service with the goal to exceed client's expectations.
• Strong understanding of marketing with an emphasis on creating strategies that grow market share for local businesses with emphasis on new local business.
• Passion for coaching and developing multiplatform sellers.
• Create and present advertising strategies and ideas for local businesses incorporating TV, online and digital mediums.
• Provide input on sales promotion ideas.
• Retain current business and develop new business contacts.
• Attain budgeted revenue goals through effective solicitations, promotions, and service.
• Understand the business objectives and advertising strategies of clients and find ways to help them achieve their objectives through effective advertising.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• College degree preferred.
• Strong organizational, written and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Competitive, persuasive, energetic and self-motivated traits.
• Ability to overcome objections.
• Enjoys a fast-paced environment with a desire to win.
• Professional appearance a must.
• Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and auto insurance.
• Candidate must possess strong leadership, motivational and sales skills in addition to a proven track record of top performance.
• Exceptional skills in recruiting, coaching, and training sellers.
• Thorough understanding and a proven track record of success in Broadcast Spot TV advertising sales including development of New Local Direct Business and Ad Agency Spot and Share negotiation.
• A thorough understanding of Digital Sales and Digital environment including Targeted Display, social media, OTT / Connected TV, Email marketing, SEO, and Paid Search.
