Job Summary/Description:
WLBT is looking for a Meteorologist to join our First Alert Weather team - the largest weather team in the state. This person should be ready for extensive severe weather coverage in the most active weather market in the country. We're looking for someone with a strong on-air presence who can connect with the community.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze weather data and prepare an accurate forecast
- Present weather information across all platforms
- Use WSI to create graphics supporting the forecast
- Forecast and track severe and breaking weather situations
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in meteorology or related field
- Education or training in broadcast journalism or communications preferred
- Flexibility in schedule
- Ability to work as part of a team
