Job Summary/Description:

WKYT is looking for an experienced sports anchor/reporter/MMJ. While this is prime job may land you covering the University of Kentucky in bowl games, the Wildcats making a run in the NCAA tournament, or the famed Kentucky Derby, we're looking for a sports innovator and storyteller who understands to excel our coverage must go beyond highlights and scores. If you love sports and the unique stories that come with it, this is your gig!

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
*Produce, write, shoot, and edit memorable sports-related stories for newscasts
*Develop and anchor sportscasts for use on-air and on OTT
*Develop relationships with area coaches and teams to find the very best people-driven stories
*Must be able to demonstrate strong storytelling ability
*Ability to write and post digital stories which enhance on-air coverage
*Shift includes working weekends and evenings
*Flexibility and ability to be a strong utility player beyond sports

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Previous experience reporting and/or anchoring sports - must provide a reel of work
*Ability to write, shoot and edit on tight deadlines
*The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to not only engage others on social media but build a trusted brand that others want to follow
*Knowledge of Kentucky high school and collegiate sports a plus
*News background and experience a plus
