WIVB News 4 Buffalo is looking for a Digital Video Producer to join our talented team.
A key member of the newsroom's digital team, this digital video producer helps to produce and distribute live and edited video using various platforms, programs, and techniques. The producer also curates interesting, accurate, informative, and high-performing content for our website, social media and other digital products.
You'll work alongside and collaborate with News 4 reporters, anchors, producers, and other members of the newsroom to create informative and important coverage for our audience across Western New York. You will have the opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art digital and television technology, video and graphics

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
• Video producer of digital-first news stories and edited packages, including various versions for social media
• Key lead in live streaming of WIVB.com programs, breaking news, and special live coverage
• Working in a fast-paced newsroom, contributing to the editorial process and supporting the digital team and digital goals
• Take an active role in discovering, shooting, editing, and creating news content, including articles, photos, videos, social media posts, user-generated content, etc.
• Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all digital platforms
• Write, produce, and edit material that appeals to our audiences
• Research production topics and techniques using various information sources and tools to align with company best practices
• Train, mentor, and support station staff with video projects and creative digital storytelling
• Share local content to national outlets and other Nexstar Digital platforms across the country
• Other duties as assigned
• Salary: $16.00 to $18.00
Requirements & Skills:
• Video editing skills are a must. Ability to quickly and professionally edit video for all platforms is key.
• Knowledge and skill in web live streaming, social media and YouTube publishing
• Collaborate with reporters, anchors, photojournalists, producers, promotions, sales, and engineering staff
• Proficient and savvy in social media platforms, tools, and best practices
• Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations
• Excellent verbal, written, grammatical and analytical skills
• Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including creative ways to inform and engage via written, oral, and visual media
• Ability to meet quality standards throughout the editorial process
• Ability to take feedback and work within a team
• Flexibility to work any shift, occasional holidays and overtime may be required due to the news cycle.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communication, or related field; TV/film or equivalent experience may substitute 2+ years' experience in digital publishing, television production.
