Responsibilities:
• Content Creation: Craft a steady stream of compelling original content, staying abreast of trends and sharing content from sister stations within the company.
• News Monitoring: Keep a keen eye on all forms of media to quickly report breaking news, ensuring our audience is always informed.
• Audience Growth: Actively seek exclusive and trending content to boost engagement and drive local traffic, contributing to the growth of our loyal audience.
• Multimedia Storytelling: Utilize different storytelling methods, including short videos and impactful visuals, to enhance the delivery of news stories.
• Collaboration: Build positive relationships with station staff, collaborate on enterprise content, and seize opportunities to market web content on the broadcast.
• Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by understanding and implementing SEO best practices, headline testing, and leveraging data-driven insights for decision-making.

Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's Degree (Equivalent work experience and military service will be considered)
• Experience: Two years in digital content and journalism

Skills:
• Strong writing skills for headlines, posts, etc., that engage without resorting to clickbait tactics
• Proficient in MS Office; HTML and Adobe suite experience a plus
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and AP Style
• Familiarity with Google Analytics; Chartbeat experience a plus
