WFXR is excited to welcome a Multimedia Journalist to our team! Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Reporting news stories for broadcast and digital platforms, including the wfxrtv.com website and various social media sites
• Working in concert with managers, producers and other colleagues to meet critical standards for accuracy, journalistic integrity, grammar and quality writing
• Researching, analyzing and vetting background information related to news stories to be able to provide complete and accurate information
• Gathering information about events through research, interviews, experience or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social or other functions
• Shooting, editing and present news stories for broadcast and digital platforms
• Interacting with viewers at news events as well as station-sponsored community events
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required
• On-air experience in news reporting strongly preferred
• Superior on-air presence
• Ability and willingness to work varying shifts, including overnights, weekends and holidays
• Familiarity with required equipment and systems strongly preferred, including broadcast camera and related gear, Adobe Premiere, ENPS and Wordpress
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations if needed
