NEWS PRODUCER (W/END) - WEEK-TV

About WEEK-TV:

WEEK-TV is an award-winning station that leads the community in local news coverage and community involvement. It operates several TV stations in the Peoria, IL television market including WEEK 25 (NBC), Heart of Illinois ABC, and Peoria-Bloomington's CW.

Job Summary/Description:

The ideal candidate will manage the newscast timing, flow, and pace for our weekend morning newscast. Keeps up with assignments, breaking news, and wires to make sure the newscast provides the viewer with the best information.

Responsibilities will be to communicate with MMJ's, the Assignment Manager, and Assistant News Director to create a fast-paced, smoothly sequenced, and fact-based newscast daily.

Please note - primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed above

Qualifications/Requirements:
• ️ Some newscast-producing experience, such as at a college level, is required. This is a great opportunity for a college student about to transition into their first full-time journalism job with an opportunity for growth and advancement.
