About WEEK-TV:

WEEK-TV is an award-winning station that leads the community in local news coverage and community involvement. It operates a number of TV stations in the Peoria, IL television market including WEEK 25 (NBC), Heart of Illinois ABC, and Peoria-Bloomington's CW.

Job Summary/Description:

The candidate will be the manager in charge of the 25News Newsroom in the evening and will help guide producer teams and reporters in the production of our newscasts. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of managerial experience. This candidate will be a proven, dedicated, and hardworking broadcast and digital journalist with solid line-producing experience, strong editorial judgment, and consistent participation in building newscasts from start to finish.

The major responsibilities include supervising reporters, anchors, videographers, and producers while reviewing scripts and rundowns and directing news coverage. Supervise digital producers in posting the latest news, updating continual coverage, and using online and social media resources to serve our readers.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Proven track record of storytelling across multiple platforms.
- Continual history of at least three years of line-producing successful, compelling, informative, and accurate newscasts. Solid people skills with an emphasis on coaching and motivating. Problem-solver-level experience in the production of live newscasts.
