Job Summary/Description:

Do you love festivals, eating the best food, watching the best bands, and the coastal living lifestyle Wilmington has to offer? We are looking for a reporter/producer to run WECT's lifestyle brand, Cape Fear Weekend and www.capefearweekend.com.

The ideal candidate will be quick-thinking, creative and multi-talented with the ability to produce multiple pieces weekly and will split their time between writing, producing, shooting and editing content that engage and produce results. Will be responsible for providing revenue generating ideas.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Staying updated on events in Southeastern North Carolina
- Writing website content
- Having good energy on camera
- Social media marketing
- Videography
- Write and edit news-style and vlog style stories for broadcast and digital platforms
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Film/Video, Communication, Reporting/Journalism, or other related field preferred. Must provide creative reel demonstrating on-camera presence and knowledge of video production. Knowledge of Facebook/ Instagram/TikTok, plus audience engagement and management tools for digital publishing is required. Experience with google analytics is a plus. On-camera experience preferred. Some evenings and weekends required.
