Job Summary/Description:
WCTV, the dominant #1 CBS affiliate in Tallahassee, is looking for an MMJ to join our experienced team. The MMJ reports dayside, covering Leon County and surrounding counties in North Florida. A typical day includes shooting, writing and editing a story, and fronting multiple live shots throughout the early evening newscasts.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Generating story ideas and building local contacts
- Shooting, writing and editing daily content for newscasts and website
- Compelling live reporting, including breaking news, elections, severe weather and features
- Operating portable live unit, and conducting live shots from the field
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 1+ years as a MMJ in a television newsroom
- BS/BA in journalism or communications
- A valid driver's license and good driving record
