Job Summary/Description:

WCTV is looking for a Local Sales Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all Local revenue for the station while leading a team of sellers and support staff in a positive and collaborative way.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Guide and oversee the Local Sales Teams' selling efforts to achieve revenue goals with both Agency and Direct clients across all available platforms
• Maintain effective internal systems and processes to ensure proper development of new and existing accounts and to help keep account executives on track to achieve their Local Revenue goals
• Develop and maintain excellent Local Advertiser and Agency relationships; making sales calls both on your own and with Account Executives
• Possess emphatic levels of customer service with the goal to exceed client's expectations
• Strong understanding of marketing with an emphasis on creating strategies that grow market share for local businesses
• Passion for coaching and developing multiplatform sellers
• Have fun and celebrate wins!
• Generate revenue for the station and meet monthly goals through effective outside sales techniques
• Develop new business through selling commercial advertising time and other station products by reaching out to local businesses and other advertisers
• Create and present advertising strategies and ideas for local businesses incorporating TV, online and digital mediums
• Provide input on sales promotion ideas to sales management
• Retain current business and develop new business contacts
• Attain budgeted revenue goals through effective solicitations, promotions and service
• Understand the business objectives and advertising strategies of clients and find ways to help them achieve their objectives through effective advertising

• College degree preferred
• Strong organizational, written, and presentation skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships
• Competitive, persuasive, energetic and self-motivated traits
• Ability to overcome objections
• Outside media sales experience preferred
• Enjoys a fast-paced environment with a desire to win
• Professional appearance a must
• Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and auto insurance
• Candidate must possess strong leadership, motivational, and sales skills in addition to a proven track record of top performance
• Exceptional skills in recruiting, coaching, and training sellers. A minimum of three years experience in Local Broadcast Sales Management and a proven track record of leadership and sales success
• A thorough understanding of Digital Sales and Digital environment including Targeted Display, social media, OTT / Connected TV, Email marketing, SEO and Paid Search
