Job Summary/Description:
Team player. Organized. Aggressive with breaking news and understands accountability storytelling across all levels. WBTV is searching for a general assignment reporter who embodies passion, drive, and a commitment to excellence across all levels at the premier legacy station in the Carolinas.
We're searching for someone who can see an ''On Your Side'' story. Where others may only see surface-level coverage, we see a deeper level of journalism. In short, we're looking for a strong journalist who can lead and inspire others to super-charge our brand. This position is also a team player who complements the entire staff and pushes to be the best, day in and day out, in a thriving city.
Please note - primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the information listed above.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Five years of minimum experience in a television newsroom or digital workplace.
- We're also searching for a reporter who is able to move in a fast-paced newsroom environment with the ability to move to breaking news as needed.
- This is not an entry-level position.
