Morning News Meteorologist

WBFF/WNUV has an exciting opportunity for you to become our morning news Meteorologist! Join our award winning, top rated newscast at FOX45 Baltimore! As one of our Meteorologists, you are responsible for forecasting weather and providing additional information when needed, including handling breaking weather news.You will collaborate with our Chief Meteorologist and other meteorologists in the field to communicate up to the minute weather updates with interesting content included for our viewers.

The main day to day responsibilities of the role will include…
• Forecasting, Producing and Presenting clear and concise weather casts, which tell a story and connect with viewers
• Compile weather data into an accurate, concise, easy to understand forecast format
• Present the weather information on-air to our viewers
• Make public appearances on behalf of the station
• Have an understanding of my region and the weather I am forecasting in this area
• Be available at all times when inclement emergency weather situations occur, and keeping abrest of all weather situations and communicate a plan to present these inclement weather situations on-air

What skills do you need to be successful in our role?
• Ability to tell memorable and meaningful stories, we value visual and compelling storytelling
• Ability to demonstrate experience with active and visual live shots
• In Depth Knowledge of forecasting
• Sharp news judgement and exceptional writing skills
• Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• 7 years' experience in weather presentation and reporting preferred
