Job Summary/Description:

WBAY Television, the ABC affiliate in Green Bay, Wisconsin has an incredible and rare opportunity for a news veteran to become WBAY's next leader. WBAY is looking for a News Director with proven leadership experience and a track record of success. You will manage WBAY news coverage across our linear television and digital platforms. You will take charge of our fast-paced, proven, and award-winning newsroom and ensure it moves to the next level no matter where today's news consumers decide to watch or view us. Our news director must also demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm for evolving digital, social and mobile media. In a market that is fiercely competitive, you will ensure the station's content delivers audience growth by being distinct, research driven, and community focused.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
* Energetic leader will lead a newsroom culture dedicated to the ''First-Alert'' brand.
* Recruit/develop talent in an investigative approach to storytelling.
* Strong competitive leader willing to take risks to grow upon our market leading news/digital/content position.
* Driving force for broadcast, digital and social media. Pushing boundaries of new and existing technologies.
* Relentless focus on serving viewers on multiple platforms.
* Effectively plan a news strategy in a continuous measurement world.
* Strategic planning for future coverage, projects and staffing decisions.
* Grow audience in all platforms.
* Understand the importance of recruiting and creating a culture of success and promotion.
* Strong knowledge of issues important to the community.
* Collaborate with all station departments, media partners and community leaders.
