Job Summary/Description:

WAVE in Louisville, Kentucky is looking for an Executive Producer to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate will be an effective leader able to inspire and coach a team of journalists. The EP will be a breaking news leader with creative problem-solving abilities.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Work with entire WAVE team to execute the best product each day for our audience
- Write and coach others to write in an interesting, relevant, and conversational tone
- Create and present accurate, fair, unbiased news content as assigned
- Script approval under tight deadlines
- Interact professionally and effectively with all employees and community organizations
- Assist management team with planning of future projects and special events

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong newsroom leader with creative vision
- Degree in Journalism/Communications or equivalent background
- Must be willing to work in Louisville, KY
- Aggressively react/respond to breaking news
- Demonstrated good news judgment and integrity
- Team player, coach, and mentor
