Job Title: VP, M&A

A little bit about our team and the role:

The media landscape is in a state of evolution and the music industry is, as always, at the forefront of that evolution. Positioned at the center of the organization and working across all departments, the VP of M&A will help to drive strategic and operational growth across WMG. Sourcing a global deal pipeline through proactive relationship management will be a priority. The VP will also be responsible for execution on investments as well as full-company, successful integration.

While investing actively within the ever-changing media landscape, the VP of Corporate Development will gain an intimidate understanding of this next evolution in music. Working horizontally across the organization, the role will have direct exposure to global leaders across WMG as well as leaders across tech and media partners globally.

This position will sit within WMG's Global Strategy and Business Development department, which focuses on driving growth across WMG.

Here you'll get to:
• Both develop strategy and action upon it.
• Originate, evaluate, negotiate, and structure acquisitions, minority investments, and joint ventures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to take transactions from ideation to execution and integration.
• Develop and maintain an external network of strategists, dealmakers and industry experts in support of identifying key market trends and sourcing new opportunities.

About you:
• Comfort in both the big-picture and the highly tactical. Strategically oriented with a priority on efficient and successful execution.
• Ability to quickly analyze and articulate key business drivers across the music, media, and technology space.
• Comprehensive understanding of major media businesses and emerging technology trends.
• Sophisticated analysis and financial modelling aptitude. Ability to analyze, structure, and negotiate transactions of varying complexity, from seed-stage investments to M&A.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• 5-10+ years global investment bank, top-tier management consultancy, or media company M&A / Corporate Development experience.
• Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.

Effective October 1st, this position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.​

Salary Range
$230,000 to $270,000 Annually

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
