Job Title: Manager, Financial Reporting

The Corporate Finance Department at Warner Music Group is responsible for overseeing all of the financial operations of the Company in partnership with the finance groups at the labels and individual companies within Warner Music Group. The department provides financial reporting, accounting, planning, budgeting, and financial compliance for the Company. The department is filled with fun, outgoing and overall successful individuals who work hard all while enjoying the perks of working in the Music Industry.
Your role:
Warner Music Group is excited to offer this opportunity in the Corporate Finance Department. This position is responsible for analyzing certain income statement accounts and other key reporting metrics for budget, actuals and forecast submissions on a consolidated basis for Warner Music Group. This position reports to the VP of Financial Reporting.
Here you'll get to:
• Prepare financial statement analytics and reviews for non-operating income statement activity (i.e. ''below-the-line'' accounts) for budget, actuals and forecasts
• Coordinate with segments and affiliates on the accurate recording and submission of below-the-line activity for all required income statement submissions including depreciation, amortization, interest expense, interest income, equity income, noncontrolling interest, foreign exchange gains and losses, and other non-operating activity.
• Prepare of debt covenant calculations, including a trailing twelve months adjusted EBITDA calculation, for budget, forecasts, and quarterly and annual report periods
• Prepare CFO Analytics Package which is used by the Company's Global CFO to assist in their preparation of the quarterly earnings process
• Assist in preparation of management reporting deliverables for key metrics and below-the-line analysis
• Collaborate with external reporting and technical accounting to ensure below-the-line activity is properly reported in accordance with US GAAP and disclosed in the WMG quarterly and annual financial statements (e.g. Form 10-K, Form 10-Q)
• Assist with the preparation review of certain monthly recurring journal entries in our consolidation system (HFM)
• Oversee the Sr. Financial Analyst – Consolidations and Financial Reporting who is responsible for performing the monthly intercompany reconciliation, monitoring the status of the monthly close, and preparing various financial reporting deliverables.
• Liaise directly with Financial Planning and Analysis to prepare quarterly income statement analysis, management discussion and analysis, and other ad-hoc reporting and analysis in connection with our quarterly earnings process.
• Collaborate with External Reporting and Investor Relations to assist in the development in the quarterly and annual press releases, earning scripts documents, and other financial communications.
About you:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in accounting
• Big Four public accounting or large multi-national experience preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of financial systems and software
• Intermediate level knowledge of GAAP/SEC accounting and reporting
• Proficient with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management is a plus
