Job Title: Assistant, Marketing – Black Music

A little bit about our team:

The Black Music Marketing Team works cross functionally with all departments in the Atlantic ecosystem to successfully product manage artist's singles, albums and special projects from inception to completion. By joining our team, you will be responsible for supporting two Product Managers (PMs) and their roster, through administrative and creative tasks. In addition to providing support, you will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the music industry and establish industry contacts.

From participating in brainstorms, to working with third party vendors for artists and department specific campaigns, you will learn the necessary skills to establish yourself as a music industry professional, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Here you'll get to:
• Answer phones professionally and keep track of calls received.
• Help manage the PM's calendars and schedules in addition to coordinating and organizing meetings, and patching in to scheduled conference calls.
• Submit and manage expense reports for each PM.
• Attend, participate in, and take notes for marketing and staff meetings.
• Coordinate and support artist events cured by the PMs. At times you may have to serve as the main contact/liaison for outside vendors and venues and be involved with the full process from budget building, planning, and the final execution.
• Update artist stat sheets, streaming reports, one-sheets, and other key Marketing documents on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Organize, update, and manage the storage of single and project specific assets received from other departments and third parties.
• Assist in the conceptualization of marketing ideas and campaigns.
• As new singles, album, videos, and other content are released, you will coordinate with each respective product manager to create and share blasts to the company with all key information, details and links.
• At times, you may be asked to liaise with the Product Manager(s) to generate promotional tool ideas, provide design direction and facilitate the manufacturing of products such as posters, stickers, CDs, merch boxes and more.

About you:
• Background in Music Marketing and previous administrative experience (internship, support role, freelance corporate setting, long term temps, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop & Mailchimp (or equivalent program).
• Basic graphic design skills
• Experience reading and analyzing data and are good with numbers
• Knowledge of different DSPs and editorial playlisting.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and are highly motivated, proactive, task-oriented, and organized.
• Ability to complete tasks by being resourceful at times, especially in a time crunch and/or with partial information or details.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
