Job Title: Finance Manager

A little bit about our team:
Our Finance team supports all aspects of financials for Rhino Entertainment, as well as Global Catalog initiatives that touch US and UK frontline labels. We're a tight-knit team where you'll gain experience from a variety of backgrounds and have exposure to many areas within company.

As Finance Manager you'll be gaining finance experience in an exciting industry. You'll work alongside not only the finance team including the CFO, but be an integral partner with other executives in the company. With focus on marketing, sales and P&Ls, you'll be given unique insight into a range of departments including our Content and Marketing teams. All while working in our energizing DTLA office.

Here you'll get to:

KEY POINT PERSON FOR SHALLOW CATALOG/FRONTLINE PROCESS:
• Work closely with content and marketing teams on frontline sales and marketing campaigns
• Track release schedule for sales and marketing campaigns
• Lead budget meetings with content and marketing teams to budget costs for releases and campaigns
• Act as key liaison with the frontline labels for budget approvals
• Create P&Ls as needed to determine profitability ratios
• Monitor and track spend mid-month to ensure proper budget targets are being met and not exceeded.
• Forecast sales results and track actuals for performance evaulation
• Maintain marketing files
• Create spend reconciliations for projects/departments as needed.
• PO review and approval: check if budget is approved and if coding is correct.
• Manage Frontline cost bill back process
• Month end close processes – complete journal entries as needed; Actualize sales and spend in the month.
• Work directly with VP of Finance and CFO explaining variances

MARKETING OPERATIONS LEAD FOR RHINO RECORDS:
• Work closely with content and marketing teams on Rhino catalog campaigns
• Lead budget meetings with content and marketing teams to budget costs for releases and campaigns
• Act as key liaison with the CFO for budget approvals
• Monitor and track spend mid-month to ensure proper budget targets are being met and not exceeded.
• Maintain marketing files
• Create spend reconciliations for projects/departments as needed.
• PO review and approval: check if budget is approved and if coding is correct.
• Month end close processes – complete journal entries as needed; Actualize spend in the month.
• Work directly with VP of Finance and CFO explaining variances

FINANCE-MISC:
• Be able to train users on Ariba / SAP / Concur. Understand system functions and capabilities to be able to get new users set up and learn the system

About you:
• Strong finance background with a minimum of four years of experience
• Strong analytical skills, very proficient in systems and advanced excel functions.
• The right person for this position must be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail.
• The position also requires someone who is highly organized with a strong ability to multi-task, a self-starter, but someone who takes direction, works well with change and is a team player.
• A leader who is able to chase down information from various sources in a timely manner while keeping a positive and professional disposition.

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Music or Entertainment Industry experience
• Finance and/or Accounting degree
